Lára is an Icelandic actress, raised in England. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in acting from The Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2010. TV and film roles include Black Sands II, Reykjavik Fusion and Under the Tree. Theatre roles include Dorothy in the hit musical The Wizard of Oz at Reykjavik City Theatre, Marion in Vesturports powerful and physically demanding production of The Heart of Robin Hood, Catherine in Stefan Metz's staging of A View from the Bridge, and Stella in the National Theatre's staging of A Streetcar Named Desire. Lára was nominated for The Icelandic Theatre Award, Gríman, for her roles as Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire and Viola in Shakespeare in Love. She has also been nominated for the the Icelandic TV and film award, Eddan, for her roles in Let Me Fall and Reykjavik Fusion.
