Elma Stefania is one of the most sought out actresses in Iceland. After she graduated with a B.F.A. in acting from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2013 she was three years in a row nominated as best actress working in both the City Theater in Reykjavik and the National Theater of Iceland.
In 2018 she became a member of the ensemble in Burgtheater, Vienna, one of the most respected theatres in Europe.
Elma is fluent in Icelandic, German and English. She lives in Berlin, Germany, and Reykjavik Iceland. Her latest film, White White Day, was Iceland’s entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards.
Upcoming projects include Returning to Lulu, a feature film, and Vanished, a TV series for ZDF, Germany. In both projects Elma Stefania plays the starring role.
