studied acting in The Iceland Academy of the Arts and graduated in 2006 and graduated from the Film MFA program at Columbia University in New York in the spring 2016.
He worked as an actor and screenwriter for six years in Iceland. He is best known for co-writing and starring in the feature film Mr. Bjarnfreðarson and three television series Næturvaktin, Dagvaktin, Fangavaktin. All of these projects won multiple awards at the Icelandic EDDA awards.
Besides from that he has performed in a few other Icelandic movies, for one of them, Veðramót he won the Icelandic EDDA award for “Best actor in a supporting role”. he has performed in numerous television series, short films and 18 theater pieces.
As a director he has made one short film, Hjónabandssæla. The film has won multiple awards at film festivals around the world and an EDDA award as the best Icelandic short in 2015.
