Biography
A writer, actress, and stand-up comedian who graduated from Met Film School in 2019.
Co-directed and co-wrote her first TV series Útilega, produced by Glassriver in 2024.
Karen co-wrote the popular TV series "Ordinary People," Seasons 4, 5, and 6, produced by Glassriver for Síminn. Additionally, she contributed to the drama series "Arfurinn Minn" (2022) for Síminn, produced by Glassriver, and the comedy series "Kennarastofan" (2024), produced by Kontent.
In 2023 and 2025, she was a co-writer for RÚV's "Áramótaskaup." She also wrote the comedy TV series "Brjánn" (2025) for Stöð 2, produced by S800.
She has also made name for herself as an actress as she acted in Arfurinn minn, Áramótaskaupið and Brjánn as well as a stand-up comedian.
Currently, she is engaged in several projects:
Showrunner for the crime series “Elma” set to air fall 2026 for Síminn, produced by Glassriver.
Adapting the children's book series "Orri Óstöðvandi" for TV, for Sýn, produced by Republik.
Co-writing TV series “Manifesto” produced by Glassriver, set to start shooting October 2026.
Adapting the sci-fi thriller novel "Vetrarhörkur" into a TV series, produced by S800.
