2015 she graduated with a BA degree in Acting from the Icelandic University of Arts.
Blær is born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland. From a young age she has had a passion for storytelling and therefore found her platform in acting.
Straight after graduation she started working in Reykjavik City Theatre which is one of the two West End sized theatres in Iceland, where she has been a resident artist ever since.
Blær´s first role in The City Theatre was the part of Nina in Chekov’s Seagull. Her credits include Mamma Mia the Musical, 1984 and Heaven and Hell. The role of The Boy in Heaven and Hell got her a nomination for best actress in lead role.
Blær has various TV and Film credits including Flateyjargátan (Flatey Enigma), and a lead role in Svanurinn (The Swan), which has won numerous awards at various international film festivals.
Blær is currently in rehearsals for Tviskinnungur which premiers in November at the Reykjavík City Theater.
