Elín Hall is an acclaimed Icelandic actress and musician known for her versatility and depth in film, television, and music. She is a two-time Actress of the Year nominee at the Edda Awards, presented by the Icelandic Film Academy, for her powerful performances as the troubled teenager Magnea in Let Me Fall (Lof mér að falla) and in Erlingur Óttar Thoroddsen’s thriller Kuldi, an adaptation of Yrsa Sigurðardóttir’s novel.

2025, she won Actress of the Year at the Edda Awards for her role in When the Light Breaks.

Elín has also starred in Sagafilm’s television series Case (2015) as Elva Dögg and portrayed Erla Bolladóttir in the documentary film Out of Thin Air (2017).

A graduate of the Icelandic Academy of the Arts with a BA in Acting (2022), Elín’s artistic journey began at a young age when she trained at l’École supérieure de ballet du Québec in Canada. In 2013, she participated in a performance conducted by Cirque du Soleil.

Beyond acting, Elín is a talented musician, having released two albums and multiple No. 1 singles on the Icelandic charts. She has also composed music for both television and film, further solidifying her status as a multifaceted artist in the Icelandic entertainment industry.
